Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce round brie cheese
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • sliced baguette, graham crackers, apple slices (for serving)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the brie cheese round on a small baking sheet.
  3. Bake the brie for about 15 minutes, or until it is softened and gooey.
  4. Remove the baked brie from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  5. While the brie cools, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small saucepan.
  6. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring continuously until the brown sugar has fully dissolved.
  7. Stir in the chopped pecans until they are well coated.
  8. Pour the warm maple pecan mixture evenly over the slightly cooled baked brie.
  9. Serve immediately with sliced baguette, graham crackers, or apple slices.

Notes

Use real maple syrup for the best flavor.
Don't overbake the brie; it should be soft, not completely molten.
Allow the brie to cool for 5 minutes before adding the topping.
Serve immediately for the best warm, gooey experience.
